Private Developer, Turks and Caicos

Summary:  Erickson Consulting Engineers, Inc. (ECE) is responsible for the coordination of the master plan and the marine engineering and permitting components of a 9-acre resort development in the Turks and Caicos Islands. This development requires large scale cut/fill planning, marina and boat access channel feasibility and design and shoreline stabilization (combination of vertical bulk heading and natural treatment) along the marina and residential development areas, and tidal connections to mangroves and other wetland species.  The work includes detailed geotechnical investigations and sediment management plans.  Extensive mangrove mapping was conducted to avoid and minimize impacts to mangrove species.
